SPLIT Cookies Policy
March 2026
Cookies are files that are stored on your device’s hard drive or web browser and are accessed by our server when you access our services. Other technologies are used to collect non-personal information or aggregate information used to enhance your experience and gather usage and performance data.
This Cookie Policy describes the practices that “SPLIT” (or “us” or “we”) follows when collecting information through use of cookies and similar technologies when you access our services.
1. Information that we collect
When you use our services, for instance, visit our Website, SPLIT may collect and process certain technical/server-side information for security, operations, and audit purposes.
Our web server will temporarily record certain information from the device you use. The following are collected automatically at server/infrastructure level, not as cookie values
Your IP address (used for security, rate limiting, and audit logging),
The access date/time,
Request/response technical metadata (for example URL/path, HTTP status code, and related diagnostics),
The number of bytes transferred during the connection,
Network/traffic diagnostics used to ensure service functionality, security, and abuse/cyberattack protection.
Note: Browser geolocation collection is not implemented by SPLIT web app.
We collect the following data using cookies:
Your session identifier/token (for authenticated admin/split-ops sessions),
Security token(s) used for authentication request protection (CSRF token),
Your language/locale preference.
2. Type of Cookies that we use
We use cookies on the SPLIT web app to improve its performance and enhance your user experience.
Cookies are used to provide the following functions:
Language preference: “split_locale” cookies are used to remember the user’s selected language (en/ru/hy) and retain the collected data for a year, unless changed.
Session/authentication management: “split_admin_session” and “split_ops_session” cookies are used to ensure that your session is routed to the correct system for the duration of your visit. The former retains collected data for 12 hours (configurable), while the latter does so for 1 hour (configurable; minimum 5 minutes, maximum 24 hours).
CSRF protection: “csrftoken” cookies are strictly necessary for the security of the user experience. They provide Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection for authenticated requests. The retention time for these cookies is a Django-managed security cookie lifetime.
SPLIT currently does not use analytics cookies and does not use tracking pixels (including Meta/Facebook Pixel).
We also use browser localStorage/sessionStorage for checkout flow continuity and prompt-state handling.
3. Managing cookies in your browser
There is currently no in-app cookie preference/consent manager. Users can either:
block cookies in browser settings;
or delete cookies in browser settings;
log out to invalidate authenticated sessions.
4. Is your consent required for cookies?
All cookies currently used by SPLIT are strictly necessary or functional. Blocking them may cause loss of service functionality. Consent is therefore not required under Armenian law, which is why the web app does not explicitly request cookie consent.
5. Support
For any and all queries related to cookies, users can contact SPLIT’s support team by email at armankarapetyan@splitapp.info.
This Cookies Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia.
